Confidentiality
We ask for personal information so
that our patients can receive
appropriate care and treatment. The
practice will ensure that patient
confidentiality is maintained at all
times and by all members of the
practice team.
This information is recorded on
computer and the practice is
registered under the Data Protection
Act.
All our staff and multi-disciplinary
team are bound by a strict code of
confidentiality.

Violence
and aggression
Please treat our staff with courtesy
and respect and equally our staff
will respect and treat you in the
same way.
Abusive, aggressive or threatening
behaviour directed towards our staff
is not acceptable and may result in
removal from the practice list. Also
possible legal action may be taken.
Freedom of Information –
Publication Scheme
The Freedom of Information Act 2000
obliges the practice to produce a
Publication Scheme. A Publication
Scheme is a guide to the ‘classes’
of information the practice intends
to routinely make available. This
scheme is available
here.
MEDICAL
RESEARCH
In order that medical research can
continue the practice periodically
takes part in research projects.
This involves inviting patients to
attend the practice and may include
taking further medical information
and providing data to the research
study.
Should patients prefer not to
participate their wishes will always
be respected and if a patient
declines to participate in a study
this will not affect their care or
relationship with the practice in
any way.
